有名な曲です。沢山の訳詞がWEBにありました。みなさんが書いている通り一つの近未来の物語で一つのディストピアの形だと思います。それにしてもデビットバーンは自然主義みたいのが嫌いだったんですかね。その頃のアメリカでそういうのが盛り上がっていたんでしょうか。ちょうどIT産業が盛り上がる少し前のアメリカ、多分不景気だった頃ですね。’８４年の経済成長率７％超えを頂点に’９１年のマイナス成長に向かって落ち込んでいく社会と、オーガニックや自然回帰的な雰囲気の社会を歌っているのかな。
