デビットバーンの子供時代のサーカスの情景と、大人になって成功したあとに見た政治ショーのMIXでしょうか。所詮政治はショー、劇場型政治は子供時代に見たサーカスと変わらないのかもしれません。それは日本でも同じこと、歌舞伎や時代劇と国会は同じなのかもしれません。子供の頃はピエロや綱渡りの女の子に夢を奪われ、今は政治家や有名人に夢を奪われて、それにチケット代金を支払う。自分でいうと超合金のおもちゃに憧れたのと、今は５つ星ホテルやラグジュアリーな何かの商品に夢を盗まれ、それを売り戻される仕掛けは同じなのかもね。
